Rahne Sinclair was an orphan in Scotland, raised by Reverend Craig. When her powers manifested, Craig attempted to perform an exorcism to cast out what he perceived was the devil. She was rescued by Dr. Moira MacTaggert and was subsequently enrolled as one of Charles Xavier's New Mutants. She has the mutant ability to transform into a wolf, including enhanced senses and strength, along with claws and fangs.

Originally a band of mercenaries led by Bonebreaker, Skullbuster, and Pretty Boy, the Reavers operated from a secret complex located underneath an abandoned town in the Australian outback. They were reorganized by Donald Pierce who hated the X-Men for their interference in his plans. They are shown as servants of Spiral.
