Wolverine and the X-Men is an American cartoon series by Marvel Animation. It is the fourth animated adaptation of the X-Men characters, the other three being Pryde of the X-Men, X-Men: The Animated Series and X-Men: Evolution.

    Born and raised in affluence, Warren is forced to hide who he has become to spare his own intolerant family from embarrassment. As such, he leads a dual life. One playing the dutiful heir to the family fortune, and the other as the mysterious Angel, who uses his abilities to help those in need. Angel's wings can carry up to twice his weight and can fly him to 29,000 feet at speeds up to 159 mph. His enhanced lungs enable him to breathe at high altitudes and he possesses extraordinary eyesight.

    He was once the optimistic leader of Professor Xavier's X-Men, but when Scott Summers lost the two people he cared for most, he also lost the drive to lead the mutant heroes. He may begrudgingly work with Wolverine and the X-men to prevent a future that looks darker every second, but inside he is alone. Cyclops has the mutant ability to project beams of pure energy from his eyes and the only way to block it is by closing his eyes or wearing a visor or glasses made out of ruby-quartz material.

    Wolverine and the X-Men

    In the year since an explosion destroyed the Xavier Institute and broke up the X-Men, Wolverine has lost himself on the open road, haunted by the missing Professor X and Jean Grey. But his low profile ends when he's targeted by the Mutant Response Division after rescuing a family from a train derailment. When they are arrested by the MRD, charged with harboring a fugitive mutant, Wolverine enlists the help of Beast. Together they infiltrate the enemy's lair, liberating the family and a dozen captured mutants. Wolverine knows these kinds of problems won't be going away, so his only option is to bring back the X-Men.

    Season 1, Episode 1: Hindsight: Part 1

    A mysterious explosion destroys the X-Mansion on the moment that Wolverine was leaving. Professor X and Jean Grey are missing, and perhaps gone for good, causing the X-Men to disband. Beast is examining the remains of the explosion and finds out that Professor X was the target. However, one year later, an anti-mutant group called the Mutant Response Division (or MRD for short) hunt Wolverine and arrest a family that helped him. This causes him to go after them with the help of Beast. Inside the jail, they free all the mutants, including Dust, Boom Boom, and Pyro. In the end, Wolverine decides to find the other X-Men and fight the MRD.
